What cookies we use
Bookify uses strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to sign you in and keep the site secure — plus analytics cookies set by Google Analytics for audience measurement. We run no advertising cookies and no cross-site advertising trackers.
The two analytics tools we use
Repora (repora.ro) is our own privacy-friendly product analytics. It sets no cookies at all: it keeps a random visitor identifier in your browser's local storage (_beacon_vid) and counts page views and product events such as "signup completed". It never receives your name, email address, bookings or customer data, and it does not follow you to other websites.
Google Analytics is used for audience measurement and does set cookies, listed below. Blocking them changes nothing about how the product works.
The full list
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| bookify-session | Keeps you signed in during a visit. | Session (2 hours) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you signed in between visits when you tick "Remember me". | Up to 5 years |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: tells returning visits apart to measure how the site is used. | Up to 2 years |
We also use your browser's local storage (not cookies) for small conveniences that never leave your browser: your cookie choice, your light/dark theme, and dismissed hint cards. One further entry, _beacon_vid, holds the random visitor identifier described above; it goes only to repora.ro, contains no personal details, and is never shared with advertisers.
Your choices
The sign-in and security cookies are strictly necessary: the service cannot work without them, and blocking them in your browser will prevent signing in. The Google Analytics cookies are optional and exist only to measure usage — declining them leaves every feature working exactly as before.
to review or change your choice at any time.
